Hope everyone is enjoying their holidays. We are on our way to the shrine as I'm writing this, so I'll be brief: Happy New Year to everyone!

I guess I should congratulate you for surviving this year.

Rather busy at the moment, studying for the term end test and college entrance exams. Everything else had been more or less sidetracked for that reason alone, although Sanada and myself try to squeeze in a few hours of tennis per week as well.

I am sure it's unsurprising to most that I am aiming for University of Tokyo. I am rather confident but it never hurts to be prepared to the maximum of one's abilities. That said, I also plan on applying to a few foreign universities in America and UK, although I'd still prefer an exchange program through University of Tokyo. But that's not to say I would reject Harvard if I got accepted, of course.

As far as things go regarding that matter: I am not inclined to forgive either party, so do not even address me on the matter.

I have been attending tea ceremony lessons at the Nishikado household for a while now, together with Sanada-kun. It is rather interesting and very calming.

On the other hand, spending time at the Sanada household is less than calming lately, with Sanada's older brother spending so much time at home again. University is over for the summer and he has nothing to do, so he cannot help himself but amuse himself with his younger brother. Forgive me for saying so, Sanada-kun, but watching the two of you interact is most amusing. I've never seen two people who would be more different than you two are.

He has taken a liking to me, for some reason, and wants me to go with him to a college party this weekend, to "introduce me to some girls". Even if something like that interested me, I doubt I'd go, but seeing Sanada-kun's reaction to his invitation was priceless nonetheless. I am almost interested enough to say yes.

So, I may have made a particular bet with Niou-kun which I, by all means, plan on winning. Actually, let me rephrase that: I'll definitely win it.

So, what's the prize and what will the loser have to do? I am not entirely sure we settled that, did we, Niou-kun?

The qualifications for district preliminaries are over. Not much of a challenge, it was quite disappointing. We should have used the Hyoutei strategy and sent the Preregulars to play.

That said, I need to get my hands on the newest Michael Connelly book.
